Maria is a geospatial professional who specializes in providing GIS solutions for Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department where she started in 2020 on their COVID response team.
Her work focuses on project and data management, demographic analysis, and business processes. She has 29 years of experience working in the geospatial industry for a variety of state, county, and local governments, private, and non-profit businesses. Her experience ranges from providing mapping solutions through GIS data analysis, data mining and development, to project planning and development of business requirements/solutions for local governments. Maria enjoys sharing her passion for GIS and helping to empower others to use GIS solutions in their work and study. In her personal time she loves reading, puzzles, glass blowing, gardening, hiking, and baking, spending time with family and friends and her dogs.
