Dr. Lauren Stachowiak is an Associate Professor of Geography in the Department of Geosciences at Eastern Washington University. They hold a PhD from The University of Tennessee in Geography, with expertise in GIS, fire history, and dendrochronology. Their research investigates how fire activity has changed through time as a way to expand wildfire resiliency for communities in fire-prone landscapes.
