About me
Chris Marsh is a Senior Solution Engineer on the State and Local Government Team at Esri, supporting Alaska and Oregon. With over 25 years of experience in Geographic Information Systems, Chris brings extensive expertise in enterprise implementations, system integrations, and web and mobile GIS workflows.
Before joining Esri five and a half years ago, Chris dedicated 19 years to state government in various GIS roles. His career journey spans from Field GIS work as a biologist to serving as an Agency GIS Coordinator at multiple Fish and Wildlife agencies, and culminating in a three-year tenure as a State GIS Coordinator. His deep understanding of both technical and operational GIS applications makes him an invaluable resource for his team and clients.
At this year’s conference, Chris will present on Web GIS Editing, sharing insights on optimizing workflows and leveraging modern technologies to enhance GIS capabilities.
When not immersed in the GIS world, Chris enjoys being a father to two young boys and exploring the diverse outdoor opportunities of the Pacific Northwest—despite the region's infamous endless rain.
